Big capacity trailed sprayers are nothing new; they provide a means of covering big acreages without the relatively high cost and complexity of a self-propelled machine.
But Amazone’s UX11200 sprayer, which carries 12,000 litres in its vast tank, comes with a choice of either single or (optional) dual axle steering. In single axle mode, the front wheels stay rigid and the rears turn to keep the sprayer following in the tractor’s tracks. With the electronically controlled double axle steering, on the other hand, both wheels turn to keep the sprayer following the tractor’s line accurately.
