If you think your farm pickup is coming up short in the power department, then Hennessey’s mad-looking 600hp 6×6 truck could fit the bill nicely.

The six-wheeled VelociRaptor is the US firm’s take on the Ford Ranger, and the upgrade process sees everything under the tinwork beefed up and an extra driven axle added.

Prices for a base model start at US$295,000 (£240,000) and include the six-wheel-drive spec, upgraded Fox suspension, 20in wheels and off-road tyres, special front and rear bumpers, a roll bar and LED lights.

The VelociRaptor 600 twin-turbo version has been added for owners seeking something a bit more bonkers. It comes with bigger twin turbochargers, stainless steel exhaust modifications, an upgraded intercooler and a retuned factory computer.

If you want to make your “normal” 4×4 Ford Raptor into a VelociRaptor 600, the twin-turbo upgrade will be available at a cost of US$22,500 (£18,500).
