Isuzu updates base-spec D-Max with new grille and rear diff-lock
Isuzu has completed some mild titivation to the exterior of its D-Max pickups, with new paint colour options, a restyled front grille and a broader range of alloy wheels for middling “All-Purpose” DL20 and DL40 models and the high-spec V-Cross.
The simple Utility still rolls on practical and durable steelies but, on 4×4 versions, now has the option of a rear differential lock.

Cloth seats are standard, while the DL20 gets more premium woven fabric and both the DL40 and V-Cross have leather upholstery.
The guts of the trucks remain as before, the highlights of which are a 1.9-litre engine tuned to 164hp, a towing capacity of 3.5t and a payload of just over 1t.
Spec of the DL20 (pictured) includes the aforementioned locking rear diff, 18in alloys, air conditioning, cruise control and rear parking sensors. The manual costs £29,679 ex vat and the auto is £31,179.
