Welsh Black dispersal attracts 2,500gns top

The Dispersal Sale of Pedigree Welsh Black Cattle on behalf of Lloyd Roberts, Penrefail, Abergele attracted a ringside full of buyers with the top price of the day being 2,500 gns for the July 2009 born Caerynwch Gladys 55th with her February born Bull Calf selling back to T W Williams & Co, Dolgellau.

The second highest price was 1,850gns for 2009 born TyNant Sera with her March born Bull Calf selling to B Evans, Corwen. The two Maiden Heifers from the TyNant Herd were sold for 935 gns and 940 gns. The 2009 born Pedigree Bull was unsold.

In the commercial section there were 15 Breeding Cows and Calved Heifers on offer with the top price of £1650 for a first calf Welsh Black Heifer and Calf at heel shown by Alwyn Jones, Llwyn Ci, Bala and bought by D H Roberts, Ddol Fach, Llanuwchllyn.
