Toxovax supplies become available again

Sheep farmers who were originally told supplies of Toxoplasmosis vaccine may be unavailable this breeding season should contact their vet, as supplies become available again.
Supplies of Toxovax were limited earlier in the year after a batch of the vaccine was damaged during shipment. But MSD Animal Health has announced supplies will be available again from 26 September.
The vaccine can be used until three weeks before tupping, so many sheep producers should still be able to vaccinate their ewes before the peak autumn breeding season, according to an MSD spokesperson.
“Early breeders who have been unable to secure the vaccine in time should contact their vet for advice on alternative management options,” they said.
