Texel females to 2500gns at Carlisle

Texel females sold to a top bid of 2500gns twice at Carlisle last week, with the first at this money being a shearling ewe from Douganhill Farms. This was a Hunting Cairn Opposition Look Out daughter out of a dam by Glenside King II and has an index of 216. She sold to Jeff and Sue Wilkinson for the Langlands flock.Lot 32 2nd Prize Shearling Gimmer and Reserve Female sold for 2500gns.JPGSecond at this price was one from David Houghton’s Tophill flock. Sired by Knock Orion she is out of a dam by Knock Impulse and was bought by Adam Mawson, Midcombe.Lot 125 1st Prize Shearling Gimmer and Overall Champion sold for 2500gns.JPGThen making 2300gns was a Baltier shearling from Messrs Forsyth. This is by Kelso Ozone and out of a dam by Douganhill Jeronimo. She was sold to Kenny Pratt, Hilltop.Lot 72 Shearling Gimmer sold for 2300gns.jpgAnd a pair then sold at 2000gns, with the first being from A W and C M Beattie’s Whineray flock. This was a Hull House Odds On daughter out of a dam by Tophill Merlin. She found a new home with Adam Mawson.

And the other to reach this level was from Peter Vaughan, Kingsland. This was a Knock Powerpacker daughter out of a dam by Muiresk Blondin. ET bred she has an index of 185 and sold to John Mellin, Hull House.
