Stirling: Female Angus record set at 40,000gns
A 40,000gns-bid set a new Angus female record and was one of several strong prices taken by the 40-head entry of the Gordon Brooke Estate as its heifers were sold on Monday (17 October).Â
The record-breaking Gordon Pole Star X695 was sold by trustees of the late Gordon R Brooke’s Gordon herd.
They opted to sell all the herd’s heifers following the closure of the export market in 2021.

Pole Star has several full siblings and maternal siblings that have made 10,000gns.
She is by the Ankonian Elixir son Netherallen Peter Pershore and out of the Rawburn Lord Ross daughter Belhaven Pole Star.
She sold to Cheshire bidder Architectural Structures, Greenacres, Mobberley.
The sale sets the bar 5,000gns higher than the six-year-old record set by Blelack Lady Eraline at the Massies’ 2016 reduction sale.
