Ulster entry takes final Perth Simmental championship

Judging of the Simmental bulls here at Perth has just concluded with the overall ticket going to the intermediate champion Shanehill Victor from B W Chambers. This one is by Kilbride Farm Newry and out of Samark Bluebell and carries a TSI of +23 and an SRI of +24.

Standing reserve overall and reserve intermediate was Slimero Victory 2 from the Wetherups. By Wroxall Field Marshall and out of Slimero Regina, this one goes back to Strathisla Capricorn and has TSI and SRI figures of +21.

Senior championship honours went to the McGowan family with Dirnanean Valour, a Halenook Panache son out of Dirnanean Nancy. This one has a TSI of +30 and an SRI of a massive +36.

Reserve senior under judge John Moore, Ormorga, was Seamus O’Kane’s Dressogue Victorious. He is by Kilbride Farm Newry and out of Samark Glitter. This one is a maternal brother of 10,000gns Samark Superman.

Junior champion was John Hanna’s Stralongford Viking, by Dripsey Super King and out of Stralongford Sinead, he was reserve junior champion at Eniskillen Show last year.

Reserve junior champion was Hiltonstown Valentino from Robert and Richard Rodgers. Valentino is by Woodhall Premier and out of Hiltonstwon Laura and has a TSI of +25 and an SRI of +27.
