Stirling Beef Shorthorn championship results

Champion in the Beef Shorthorns here at Stirling was Alvie Connor (lot 271) from the Williamson family. This Hurtiso Young Blood son is out of Cairnsmore Your Lovely, a Fearn Scotsman daughter and has a TSI of +13 and an SRI of +12, he was junior champion at the Highland in 2010.

Reserve overall was Chapelton Clansman from Donald Biggar. This Cavans Yankee son is out of Chapelton Duchess, a Chapelton Welcome daughter and has a TSI of +24 and an SRI of +18, he is from the same family as Chapelton Covenantor, the £16,000 breed record holder.Reserve senior to Connor was Meonhill Charlie Chaplin from LEP Farms. This is a Chapelton Winsome son out of Wavendon Flossy, a Wavendon Royal Approach daughter. With an impressive show record behind him, including being reserve champion super bull at the Welsh last summer he has a TSI of +27 and an SRI of +24.Standing reserve intermediate champion to Clansman was Podehole Canute from the Horrell family. This is a Podehole Yeti son out of Podehole Twilight, a Nathan of Quoiggs daughter, he has a TSI of +10 and an SRI of +13.Junior champion was Priestland Cain from S McCollum. This is by Corlea Wonder and out of Glenisla Crocus, an Eionmor Mr Gus daughter.

Reserve junior champion was Burnside Caveman from William and Jill McAllister. He’s a Killycolp Major 17 son out of Trunley Secret Wonder, an Uppermill Raeburn daughter.
