Balmoral Show 2019: Sheep interbreed winners
It was a show full of firsts for Graham Foster, Newtownstewart, Omagh, who claimed his first Charollais breed championship and interbreed title with his debut shearling ewe.
Sired by Robleston Superman, which was bought two years ago at Worcester for 2,200gns, she is out of home-bred ewe by a Tullyear tup.
Mark Priestley’s ram lamb finally clinched him a spot in the interbreed competition after five reserve champion wins with Suffolks spanning a 17-year show career at Balmoral.

From his Limestone flock, Downpatrick, County Down, the January-born ram is the first son to be born of the sire, Limestone Aston Martin, which sold for 40,000gns at Stirling last year, with Mr Priestley retaining a one-third share.
His dam is by the 10,000gns Limestone Brigadier. Â
