Royal Welsh Show 2015: Trumper family secure first pig interbreed
Winning the pig interbreed for the first time was Abergavenny’s Maurice Trumper with his homebred Saddleback sow Beiliau Dinah 19th R006528BS.
She was shown by Mr Trumper’s daughter-in-law Sally, while his son Martyn and grandchildren Louise, 15, and James, 11, looked on.
Sired by Westfrogwell Stockbroker 270 she is out of Beiliau Dinah 10th and is due to farrow in September. She won her class at last year’s show as a gilt.
In reserve and also winning their first interbreed title was Huw and Ela Roberts with their Welsh sow Gwynys Model 661 R003437WE from Pwllheli, Gwynedd.
It is only the second time they have exhibited at the show and is their best result to date.
This homebred pig is sired by Braemor Imperial 9 and is out of Gwynys Model 352.
