Royal Highland Winter Fair 2012: Commerial Cattle Championship
Heifers reigned supreme in the commercial calf championship with top honours awarded to 395kg Banrigh Innse Ghall from the RSPB Islay.
This heifer is by Charolais Allanfauld Amazon and out of a
RSPB Islay, which has 200 spring calving Limousin cross Angus cows, won the same championship at the Royal Highland Winter Fair in 2009 with animal of the same breeding.
Commenting on his champion, judge Mark Ross of Wester Middleton said: “She is a very correct heifer with a good top line and she handled well. She was an out and out champion.”
