New no-frills incubator launched by Brinsea

Brinsea has expanded its range of incubators with the launch of the Octagon 20 ECO, aimed at meeting growing demand for a basic but high quality and reliable small incubator.
This new model combines the plastic cabinet of the Octagon 20 Advance and analogue control technology from the older, but proven Octagon 20 DX. The Octagon 20 ECO fits the same Autoturn cradle as the Advance but is much simpler to use with the temperature displayed on a glass thermometer and a screw adjustment to alter the heat.
There is no facility for humidity measurement or control. This is an incubator for the cost-conscious and those who seek a top quality, value incubator and require simplicity over features. The Octagon 20 ECO is priced at ÂŁ119.95 for a semi-auto version or ÂŁ189.95 including the autoturn cradle, says Brinsea.
Another development is that the popular OvaEasy models are now fitted with the “Advance” control system which means they now display the humidity inside the incubator as well as temperature and have temperature alarm options as standard. The other benefit is that they can be upgraded to EX specification providing fully automatic humidity control.
The Advance models replace the earlier OvaEasy models and cost ÂŁ549.95 for the 190 and ÂŁ699.95 for the 380.
