Pull the other one…..

If every picture tells a story, it would be easy to assume from this image, sent to the Forager by backyard poultry keeper Richard Morgan, that the chooks were somehow responsible for the damaged leg.

But there is a missing link. Apparently the damage was done by a marauding dog. Said dog was having a go at the chickens, Mr Morgan had a go at the dog and… well, the dog came out on top.

“The hens seem to have recovered from the attack much better than me,” Mr Morgan told the Forager. “The lesson seems to be to let nature take its course.”
