More Great Yorkshire beef results

The beef rings have been busy here at Harrogate this morning, with a large number of the breed championships now decided in addition to those I brought you earlier.

Taking the Lincoln Reds the champion was H M Needler’s heifer Walmer Lobelia, reserve was H M Needler’s bull Walmer Kudos.

In the Herefords the champion was Tim Livesey’s bull Normanton 1 Eastern Promise, the reserve interbreed from the Highland. Reserve to him was H A Whittaker’s bull Blakelaw 1 Calzaghe.

Taking the Galloway championship was J and S Ross with their heifer Daisy 971 of Romesbeoch, reserve to her was another heifer from the same home Beauty 996 of Romesbeoch.

Then winning the Belted Galloway championship was Jane Smith’s heifer Whitepool Moondust, with the same owner’s bull Whitepool Neptune standing reserve.

The Highland champion was heifer Bar-Iarla Morag 4 of Blairlogan from Blairlogan Highlanders, with A G Fitzsimmon’s cow Smearoch 2 of Blairlogan in reserve.

And the Blonde championship went to Willie Seels with Burghwallis Diva, reserve was Hackleton Vixen from Hackleton Farms.
