Video: Lamb triplets saved after emergency C-section

Triplet lambs have been born on a farm in South Yorkshire following an emergency caesarean section.

Millie, an retired racing sheep from the Cannon Hall Farm, Barnsley, which hosts tourism visits and is famous for its sheep racing spectacles, couldn’t give birth naturally because she had a ring womb, which prevents the cervix from fully dilating.

So farm director Robert Nicholson called his local vets Chruchfield who carried out an emergency C-section under local anesthetic to deliver the triplets.
