Free entry for farmers to this year’s Livestock Event

With prices “persistently low” across the livestock sectors, organisers of this year’s Livestock Event have decided to offer free admission to farmers, vets and industry professionals.

The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF) this week opened pre-registration for free entry to the event, which will run 6-7 July at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.

Free entry and parking will be extended to farmers, vets, consultants, other industry professionals, and members of the supply trade.

“It’s an offer that will enable all dairy, beef and sheep farmers, their families, managers and staff to save money and enjoy a day away from the farm,” said Livestock Event director Matt Knight.

Given current market conditions, this year’s event is geared towards cutting costs.

“This year’s event is all about sharing information, ideas and no-nonsense, practical advice to help their businesses to survive the next 18 months. They will be able to find out about relevant products and concepts that will save money and keep them on track,” said Mr Knight.

“We are also extending our practical demonstration, discussions and seminars to offer all visitors the opportunity to take home practical advice to implement next day on farm,” he added.
