DairyCo launches flyer to boost milk sector support

DairyCo has produced a flyer to drum up support from the public for farmers facing plummeting farmgate prices.

Amanda Ball, DairyCo head of marketing and communications, explained that the flyer was in response to calls from the public and farmers who have asked how they can help.

The flyer promotes the public-facing website This Is Dairy Farming.

“We want to arm farmers with positive information that they can pass on to the public,” said Ms Ball.

“The flyer points to information explaining the true value of dairy farming to the public, what we do and how we do it, and the passion and commitment which goes into producing every drop.”

She added that the key was to get people to look beyond liquid milk and ask their retailer what their policy was on sourcing all dairy products.
