More than 6,000 dairy enthusiasts gathered at the fifth UK Dairy Expo, Borderway Mart, Carlisle, at the weekend to witness some of the top dairy progeny in the country on display.
Farmers Weekly photographer was there to capture the action ringside.

Holstein breeder Alister Laird of Blyth Bridge, Peebleshire, was awarded the John Dennison Lifetime Achievement Award.
It is presented each year by the Dennison family to a person judged to be an exemplary role model to the dairy industry.
