Medina buys former DFoB plant at Blaydon

Medina Dairies has bought the former Dairy Farmers of Britain factory at Blaydon, Newcastle upon Tyne.
The plant, currently mothballed, should be up and running at full capacity by the end of March, a statement from the processor said. The firm was recruiting for key staff and farmers to supply the factory.
Medina Group chief executive Sheazad Hussain said: “This is excellent news for Medina and will allow the group to carry on with its ambitions to be a truly national player in the UK.”
