Chelford Charollais hit 700gns peak
Last Thursday’s sale of Charollais rams at Chelford saw the top price of 700gns paid for the pre-sale show champion, a shearling ram from Mark Worthington, Ramsbottom. This one, by Galtres Faithful, sold to the judge Alan Davenport, Sandbach.
At 680gns was the best of the day from Charles and Valerie Marwood’s Foulrice flock, Whenby. This shearling, by Ash Charollais Filibuster, sold to David Jackson, Northwhich.
Another from the Mr Worthington took the next top call, with the third prize shearling from the show also selling to Mr Davenport.
Topping the ram lambs on offer was a 580gns bid for one from Geoff Biddulph, Macclesfield. This was a Nympton Grand Prix son and sold to P Dickson, Kirkby Stephen.
