Busy week ahead for Taking Stock team
Well I’m just about to head off in the car for the 4-hour journey to Brecon for their show potential show and sale tomorrow. If last year was anything to go by we might see some strong bidding as last year’s champion went under the hammer at over ÂŁ7000!!
I’ll keep you up dated with pictures and prices as always and look out for next week’s Farmers Weekly as I will be featuring the sale as an Under the Hammer at the back of the magazine.
This weekend also sees Taking Stock bringing you up to date news and views from Borderway Mart, Carlisle for the sale of Limousin Bulls. I’ve taken a look through the catalogue and there’s a few names in there sure to cause a stir. Personally I’m dying to know what a couple of the Smiths of Bloxham bulls will make….it’s been a long time coming! And of course it’s back north on Sunday for my trusty photographer Tim Scrivener and I as we head to Perth for the second week of the bull sales. Although for one breed – the Simmental – it’s turning in to the place to go for female sales, I think this time there are more females catalogued than males, so should make for a good sale.
As last time, we’ll bring you up to date news, views and hopefully a little gossip from the show and sale ring!
And if your in Perth next week come and find us…………….
