Balmoral Show 2019: Pig interbreed results
Showring stalwart Trevor Shields, from Kilkeel, County Down, was back on winning form in the pig ring, taking his umpteenth supreme championship in his 44th year of showing at Balmoral.
His red ticket winner was the September 2018-born Large White, Glenmarshall Dainty Lady. This was the first outing for his home-bred gilt, which was shown by his son, William. Â

In reserve spot for second time was Ernest Gregg with his Middlewhite gilt, Nancenoy Fair Lady 27, from Ahoghill, Ballymena.
She was purchased privately last year from Caroline Dunstan, Cornwall.
Sired by Nancenoy Captain she is out of Pinehurst Fair Lady. She is in-pig to a homebred boar and is due to farrow in June.
She was also part of the interbreed reserve champion pairs team.Â
