Cotswold farm for sale with estate potential

Joint agents Knight Frank and Moore, Allen & Innocent are selling a 500-acre farm in the north Cotswolds between Cirencester and Cheltenham.

Dowman’s and Upper Coberley Farms runs to 517 acres and has been farmed in-hand by the Unwin family. Soils are Cotswold brash and there are some traditional farm buildings with 900t of grain storage.

Most of the land is in arable cropping, with some pasture and a series of scattered parcels of woodlands. There is a small family shoot.

The farm is lotted three ways with Dowman’s farmhouse – a six-bedroom Cotswold stone dwelling in need of modernisation – some farm buildings and 269 acres guided at £3.3m. There are two farm cottages and 206 acres guided at £1.55m while a block of 43 acres of pasture and woodland is guided at £235,000. The guide for the whole is just under £5.1m.

Knight Frank’s Clive Hopkins said the farms provided an attractive opportunity to establish a private family estate. “There is a private water supply from a stream, potential to create a separate annex or barn conversion and the property is not listed. There is great potential here.”
