Lincolnshire young farmer seeks kidney transplant match
A Lincolnshire young farmer is raising money for charity while seeking a match for his own crucial kidney transplant.
Lincolnshire YFC county chairman Matt Denby, who needs a new kidney within months, is organising a dinner and dance to raise money for Kidney Research UK.
The 23 year old, from Alford, is aiming to raise £15,000 through a raffle and auction, with prizes including a three-day holiday on a private yacht and a bottle of whiskey signed by prime minister Theresa May.

“I’m not at a critical stage of total kidney failure or needing dialysis yet,” said Matt. “The plan is to hopefully have the transplant from a living donor before I need dialysis.”
Matt’s father and uncle are undergoing tests to see if either of them are a suitable match for his kidney transplant and at least five other genuine offers have come from YFC members as well.
Anyone interested in buying tickets to the dinner and dance should contact Lincolnshire FYFC by Saturday 7 April. If you would like to donate to Matt’s fundraiser, visit his JustGiving page.
