Her journey into agriculture began with a love for horses, which led her to stable them on a dairy farm.
This initial exposure sparked her interest in the industry, prompting her to study agriculture at college while gaining hands-on experience on a farm focused on beef cattle.
“Farming wasn’t always my first choice,” Tiffany says. “It wasn’t until I was 13 and helped out at the dairy farm that I truly understood the rewarding nature of this work.”
Despite her busy schedule, Tiffany still lends a hand at the dairy farm whenever needed, but she also makes time for her horses and actively participates in Young Farmers’ activities.
“The community and camaraderie in Young Farmers have really enriched my experience,” she says.
When asked about her inspirations, Tiffany credits Annie and Steve, the owners of the dairy farm where she first worked.
“They pushed me to love the industry and understand its depths. They have significantly influenced who I am today.”
Engage with farming
Looking ahead, Tiffany is eager to continue exploring her passion for agriculture and to support others in the community.
“I want to be involved in initiatives that encourage young people to engage with farming and its possibilities,” she says.
As a piece of advice to those considering a career in farming, Tiffany emphasises the importance of hands-on experience.
“Get involved wherever you can. Every opportunity helps you learn and grow in ways you might not expect.”
