VIDEO: Gangnam Style farm parody goes viral

A farming parody of the international hit Gangnam Style made by three American brothers has generated more than six million YouTube views in little more than a week.

The video shows the Peterson Farm Bros, who farm near Assaria, Kansas, completing a variety of farm tasks while singing their version of the song made famous by the singer PSY.

It includes lyrics such as: “Our crops like corn and wheat, Help make diets complete. Without the farmers working, We would all be starving.”

At various stages of the video the brothers – Greg, Nathan and Kendal – are seen demonstrating the Gangnam Style signature dance moves, which are based around horse-riding.

It is not the first time the Peterson Brothers have used the internet to promote agriculture and engage with young people.

In July 2012, the family released a version of the LMFAO song I’m sexy and I know it which they called I’m farming and I grow it.
