Video: Vegan activists intimidate farmer on her way to abattoir
A farmer in the South West was left shaken after a group of vegan activists with cameras unexpectedly pounced on her vehicle and trailer load of sheep bound for an abattoir.
Shepherd Jess kept her cool under pressure from the activists, despite them attempting to block her progress towards the abattoir so they could push video cameras and phones inside the trailer to film the livestock.
Instead of getting angry, Jess decided to film the activists and the police officers who appeared to do little to clear the way for her.

She says the disruptors asked her if she was taking her two dogs, which can be heard in the videos barking from the rear of her truck, to be killed as well.
Posting the video clips on Twitter, she said: “I’m not sure how scaring my animals by shoving cameras inside my trailer is actually allowed.
“Could I legally scare someone’s pet cat in their garden? Police just walk alongside asking me to slow down.”

I’m not sure how scaring my animals by shoving cameras inside my trailer is actually allowed, would I be liable if I had a ram and someone got hurt? Could I legally scare someone’s pet cat in their garden? Police just walk along side asking me to slow down? #sheep365 pic.twitter.com/SqFJfdJy79
