The famous Farmers Weekly tractor sweater knitting pattern is back
The Farmers Weekly tractor sweater knitting pattern is back by popular demand, just in time for Christmas.
We have had so many emails from readers who have lost, inadvertently destroyed, or worn out the original pattern from the 1970s – or the reprint from the 1980s – that we are printing it for a third time.

Our own 1980s archive print copy had suffered a bit over the years, rendering it unreadable in parts.
So huge thanks to reader Katie Summerfield who came to the rescue with a slightly less battered magazine.

No doubt the super-knitters among you will be able to knock up a woolly gift or two in time for Christmas.
But we’d love to see your masterpieces whenever they’re ready or any originals from the 1970s and 1980s. Upload them to our Farmlife Framed gallery and we will share them.
And for a good dose of nostalgia, watch the video showcasing the jumper knitted by the winner of our 1980s competition.
