SV Arena to take over Young People’s Village at Royal Welsh Show

The previously abandoned Young People’s Village at the Royal Welsh Show has been given a new lease of life, after SV Arena claimed the plot with plans for a new family and young persons’ attraction.

The decision to scrap the Young People’s Village was made by Wales YFC earlier in the year as a result of rising fuel and infrastructure costs, and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

Despite rising costs, the venue has been taken over by SV Arena, which will be providing caravan and camping sites, two entertainment stages with live music, and a large social area with food and drinks stalls.

SV Arena events manager Sam Mumford said: “SV Arena are delighted to have acquired the land at Court Farm by kind permission of the Kinsey Family.

“SV Arena will be a great venue for families and young people to stay at over the course of the Royal Welsh Show week. They will be able to enjoy live entertainment and socialise in our SV Social area.”

The organisers have been working closely with the Royal Welsh Show to ensure the attraction is a success.
