Share your farming memories for FW’s 90th celebrations

Readers’ farming memories will be part of Farmers Weekly’s 90th anniversary celebrations.
Stories are handed down in every family, sometimes embellished, sometimes embarrassing, sometimes told just that once too often…
There’s no limit to the subject matter and the best ones we receive will be published in our commemorative 21 June edition.
We’re looking for accounts of characters, events or items that made a lasting impression – perhaps an act of kindness never forgotten, how a farming neighbour’s tall tales got them into trouble, or the change brought about by an invention or technique.

Send us your stories in a maximum of 350 words, either by email or by post (see details below).
For many readers there will be an obvious choice of anecdote to submit, but here are a few ideas to get you thinking:
- It shouldn’t happen to a farmer: Tales of the unexpected
- Above and beyond: Pay tribute to someone who has helped you or your family
- Love thy neighbour?: Featuring the farm next door, and perhaps other neighbours
- Best piece of advice I ever received: Pay tribute to someone’s words of wisdom and the impact it had on you or the farm
- Family and farming folklore: Characters remembered, stories the whole family knows
- Best farming moments: For example, a show win, topping the market or most memorable day on the farm
- Forgotten skills: What hard-learned job were you an expert at that is no longer part of farming life?
