Photos: Readers black-and-white snaps of farm life

The black-and-white category of the Farmers Weekly Photography Competition is always stunning, and this year is no exception.

With a £250 top prize, the contest has attracted thousands of entries, from pets to people and wildlife to machinery.

The closing date of the competition is 30 October, so this week is the last opportunity to enter.
