Photos: Farmers celebrate the Queen’s jubilee

Farmers Weekly readers around the country got into the spirit of the Platinum Jubilee.

Thanks to those who shared photos of their celebrations, from straw bale guardsman and Union Jack sheep to beacons and fireworks.

Here is a snapshot of your preparations, tributes and right royal knees-ups.

And if this lot inspires you to dig out the images you took over the bank holiday, you can still upload them to our jubilee gallery.

Lucy and Neil Pickering made this one with their 13-year-old daughter, Charlotte.  It was at Field House Farm, Hibaldstow, in North Lincolnshire, where it wowed passing pedestrians and drivers.

“We wanted to create our version of a Grenadier Guard scarecrow to honour the Jubilee,” says Lucy. “Neil was a bit reluctant to let us put his face on it, but we had some really positive feedback.”

“It was so much fun and the children loved that it was the grown-ups who were dressed up. Teenagers were coming over and asking for selfies too.”
