Oxfordshire YFC County Show highlights and photos

Throughout the 2018 events season, we’ll be bringing you regional coverage of the UK’s best-loved agricultural and countryside shows.

These events showcase the best of British farming and food, while also serving as a great social occasion and an opportunity for consumers and the public at large to learn more about the agriculture industry.

Oxfordshire YFC County Show and Rally

Hosted by the Witney Young Farmers Club on 26 May 2018, Oxfordshire YFC County Show and Rally was held at the Ducklington Showground near Whitney.

This year’s show raised more than £30,000 for charity with more than 5,000 people passing through the gates.

It was an action-packed day with displays and attractions including a dog show, sheep racing, vintage tractors, and sheep shearing.

Oxfordshire’s Young Farmers Clubs have almost 400 members and were recently awarded a national prize for the county federation with largest increase in membership numbers over the past three years, growing their numbers by 25%.
