Leadership training at fore of AgriLeadership Week 2023
The annual AgriLeadership Week kicks off on 15 May, putting a spotlight on careers and professional development within the agricultural sector.
The week-long social media event will run until next Sunday (21 May) to promote the benefits of leadership and management training, with webinars and a series of takeovers on the @FarmersoftheUK Twitter account.
Gaining traction over the years, the initiative is supported by more than 10 partners, including the NFU, AHDB, the Institute for Agriculture and Horticulture (Tiah), the Farmers Club Charitable Trust and the Worshipful Company of Farmers.

The organisers are keen to promote the vast range of resources and courses that are available, after a recent Tiah labour market report found 75% of employers have not carried out any formal management or leadership training in the past three years.
About 50% of those surveyed felt all employers would benefit from this training.
“The aim of the week is to drive awareness of the diverse range of courses, and to encourage everyone in the industry to develop their skills and support people from outside of the industry,” said a spokesman.
“All members of the UK agriculture, horticulture and rural-based industries are encouraged to get in touch with featured organisations for more details on how to take advantage of the options available.”
