FW photo competition: win a £700 camera

Enjoy taking pictures? Then get snapping and dust down your best shots because the 2011 Farmers Weekly Photo Competition is open for entries.

Every year this competition provides a stunning record of farming and the countryside and this year it’s bigger and better than ever, giving amateur photographers the chance to win a £700 Nikon camera and £700 of cash prizes.

As well as the prizes up for grabs, a selection of our favourite photos in each category (listed below) will be showcased in a special Christmas edition of Farmers Weekly.

We’re looking for submissions from amateur photographers in seven categories:

1. Arable scenes

2. Livestock scenes

3. Natural world and landscapes

4. Pets

5. People

6. Humour

7. Young snappers (open to anyone who’s 16 or under on the closing date)
