Full-scale tractor in Christmas lights is a hit on social media
A full-scale model of a John Deere 6820 covered in Christmas lights has become a hit on social media.
Andrew Wilkinson who farms near Pocklington in East Yorkshire said it has taken him “a good couple of months of evenings and weekends to build it and additional four full days to wire the lights on”.

The metal sculpture is covered in 6,000 LEDs, more than a mile of wiring and 4,000 cable ties were used to attach it all.
Mr Wilkinson said the spectacle is “a dedication to all the farmers out there past and present” and especially to his late father David Wilkinson.
Andrew’s father had cancer and so Andrew wants to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research with the attention the light display has attracted. You can support his fundraising on JustGiving.
The tractor is currently located in the East Yorkshire village of Hatton but will be moved on 15 December for John Deere dealer RBM Agriculture’s open day at Market Weighton.
