Photo of the Week: Ted makes a stand at Beverley farmers protest
This week’s Photo of the Week is courtesy of young Ted, who was in attendance at the recent tractor protests at Beverley Westwood in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The image has been getting it’s fair share of attention and was even shared on the Clarkson’s Farm X account.
Ted’s family aren’t farmers but have many ties to the sector, with Ted’s mother Daisy completing a degree in agricultural business management and her husband working on many farms across Yorkshire as an electrical engineer.
Daisey Copsey told Farmers Weekly: “I spent my childhood working on a mixed beef and sheep farm, so my passion for farming has definitely passed to Ted.
“Ted is three years old and has a obsession with farms, especially tractors.
“Farming plays such an important part in everyone’s life, whether you’re from a farming family or not.
“To lose them by taxing them out of business would have a detrimental effect on so many other businesses as well.
“We as a family support these protests because the British countryside just wouldn’t be the same for anyone without farms and farming.”
