Photo of the Week: Swales in the snow

As temperatures plummeted this week across the country, father/daughter team Richard and Victoria Woodsworth at Brownhill Farm in the Yorkshire Dales set about moving their Swaledale sheep flock and herd of beef Limousin cows.

Richard told Farmers Weekly: “The snow caused us to have to move all the sheep down to lowest part of the farm as pictured.

“We were just about to feed them from the tracked dumper as [it] was the only way we could get access to the field.”
