Photo of the Week: New kids on the block
While browsing through the lambing gallery, we came across, not lambs, but these newborn kids.
This little set of five are from one doe and are 10 days old.
The goats are raised to produce dairy products and are an addition to the main arable and beef operations at Mayalls Farm, just outside Malvern.

The farm also runs holiday lets and a campsite.
Jo England, who lives with three generations of farmers on the family farm, says:
“This is our first time kidding and I think goats always get missed out. So many people [are] kidding at the moment as well as lambing.”
“We recently purchased a small herd of dairy goats, as my plan is to diversify again and offer cheese-making experiences to locals and tourists. I bred my does to a Boer meat goat.”
Jo not only deals with the goats, the holiday diversifications and helps on the farm, but has a full-time job at a butcher’s.
So here’s to Jo’s goat business and all the hard-working goat producers of the UK – happy kidding, you have not been overlooked by us.
You can upload your farm photos to our Farmlife Framed gallery and our Lambing 2025 gallery.
