Photo of the Week: Mint Sauce and Morris Minor

Emily Watson captured week-old Valais Blacknose lambs Mint Sauce and Morris Minor enjoying the sunshine at Reach Out Farming, near Eastleigh, Hampshire.

Easter is in full swing at the care farm, where further lambs are expected in May.

“We are a family-run smallholding, which also runs as a day service for adults with learning disabilities,” says Emily.

“They come to the farm during the day and help look after the animals.”

Alongside the sheep, there is a goat, chickens, guineafowl, horses, a donkey, tortoise, guinea pigs, a goose, a duck and a gecko.

The farm also has a wood workshop where visitors can learn vital work skills such as measuring, cutting and building.

“Our goal is to create a safe and calm working space for individuals to come and experience various activities including equine management, horticulture, mechanics and upcycling.”
