Photo of the Week: Feline farm security

We’ve all heard of guard dogs, but what about a guard cat? This security-conscious feline surveys the farm yard from the the vantage point of a John 6150R. Who needs CCTV when you have cats eyes?

Yasmine Taylor sent the photo of her cat Toddy in to our photo competition and says: “This cat is farm security. He is always around just checking.

“He sees the last person off the livery yard and he always comes to do late night checks with the cattle and sheep”.

Despite his serious patrolling duties, he has a soft side, Yasmine says: “He follows me and my partner James everywhere, he comes on three-mile walks with the dogs.

“He’s always on the horse yard or found snuggling up in the straw bales or somewhere on the farm whilst I’m out.

“He’s always to be seen on the farm or trying to get into tractors with us”.
