Photo of the Week: Daisy meets purebred, two-day old ram lamb
Thanks to L Onslow for sending us this shot of Daisy meeting a purebred, two-day-old ram lamb born to Agatha, a Rare Breeds Survival Trust and Whitefaced Woodland Sheep Society registered Whitefaced Woodland ewe.
Agatha is one of 600 purebred sheep at Clandon Park in Surrey.
The flock is protected by stringent biosecurity measures, including two quarantine free-range grazing areas in the north and south of the farm.

The Whitefaced Woodland breed returned to the farm in 2018, having once grazed there in the 1700s.
The flock is thriving on a diet of only grass and home-grown hay, plus natural supplements just before and after lambing.
Whitefaced Woodlands are a large, native, low-input breed that prefer to lamb outdoors, weather permitting.
This huge ram lamb did require a little assistance to be born and will likely become a much sought-after purebred Whitefaced Woodland sire in the future.
