Photo of the Week: All aboard the ‘Lambulance’

This lucky lamb has hitched a ride on Jemma Parker’s “Lambulance” with sheepdog Nan at Windwhistle Farm, Salisbury.

Jemma’s boss, who rents Windwhistle, in Bishopstone, from her father-in-law, runs 1,000 Romneys over three different farms.

“My main responsibility it to look after all the shearlings – about 200 – and 100 older ewes,” says Jemma. “We lamb them all outdoors, and the weather has been good for us so far.”

She says that having such a great dog in Nan makes her work easier.

Jemma also keeps her own flock on the farm. “I have my own flock of Herdwicks – so far all going well, with 20 lambing at the moment.

“I’m very lucky to be able to have my sheep here.”
