Farmers tickled pink by grain bucket breast cancer fundraiser
When Scottish farmers Graham and Ewan Burnett asked their local farm contractor Colin Campbell if he would shotblast and respray their old grain bucket, he said: “Yep, no problem, leave it with me”.
Several months later, and with harvest looming, Colin phoned to say it was ready for collection and to pop along and pick it up.
The farmers headed along with the telehandler thinking it would be a shiny new yellow again, only to find Colin had taken it upon himself to paint the bucket pink in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Colin, who runs Campbell Agri Services, based in Tain, Ross-shire, has since kindly donated the money from his invoice for the job and a total of £500 has so far been raised for the charity.
Graham told Farmers Weekly: “The colour of our ‘Boobie Bucket’ certainly made for an interesting conversation with the lorry drivers who came in at harvest to collect the malting barley.
“After explaining how it had come about, two out of the nine different drivers that came in said they were quite touched as they had lost a family member to the disease and were pleased to see the farming community bringing it to the fore.”
Father and son Graham and Ewan Burnett run Aldie Farm Partnership at 130ha Aldie Farm, in Tain, where they farm beef cattle and grow malting barley.
