Fancy chicks pose for new calendar

The Poultry Club of Great Britain has announced the arrival of its Absolutely P.C. Calendar, featuring “fancy chicks” as you’ve never seen them before.

Twelve lady members of the Poultry Club and other female chicken keepers have got together to produce what is surely the “must have” calendar of the season.

Each month features a different lady and her bird in a variety of poses, ranging from the artistic to the frankly bizzare.

According to a statement, the ladies are seeking to “challenge male dominance in the poultry fancy, and show their birds off to the best advantage”.

Sponsored by Cotswold Chickens, the calendar retails at £8.50 (plus £1.50 postage) and all proceeds will go to The Poultry Club of Great Britain, the UK’s only registered charity devoted to the conservation of rare and pure breed poultry.
