New ‘Walk in the Park’ event to support wellbeing in agriculture

Farmers Weekly has teamed up with two charities to support mental health in agriculture with a one-day event to be held at the Yorkshire Showground in May.
Walk in the Park – supported by Workplace Bereavement and the Farming Community Network (FCN) – takes place just after Mental Health Week, on Thursday, 22 May.
Contestants past and present from Farmers Weekly’s Britain’s Fittest Farmer (BFF) event are all invited for a picnic and a day of socialising and fun activities, with all of their family and friends in tow.

Walk in the Park aims to offer a relaxing day, to enjoy the company of others in the agricultural community, hear their top tips for mental wellbeing, or share your own.
As well as the chance to have a go at Tug of War or Giant Jenga, there will be opportunities for a private conversation with FCN ambassadors and Workplace Bereavement mental health representatives.
Importantly, there’s no agenda – join in with as much or as little as you like. We hope to see you there.
