Farmers Weekly launched a writing competition to help keep farm kids entertained while they’re off school during the coronavirus pandemic.

We asked children and teenagers, aged between 4 and 16, to write a short story about their favourite day on the farm. There were three age categories, with a £50 cash prize for each winner, plus a goody bag from competition sponsor Isuzu.

The three age categories:

• Ages 4-7 - up to 200 words
• Ages 8-11 - up to 500 words
• Ages 12-16 - up to 500 words

The deadline for entries was 24 May 2020. The entries are currently being judged by the Farmers Weekly team and the winners will be contacted by email. See the full terms and conditions of the competition.
