Bauer adds steel options to slurry tanker range
An expanded range of slurry and AD digestate tankers will be available from Bauer, with the Austrian manufacturer set to launch a steel tank range.
The Bauer BSA Profiline tankers, with capacities from 10,000 to 26,000 litres (10-26cu m), will complement the company’s established poly tankers, which have corrosion resistance and weight-saving advantages, says Adrian Tindall of Bauer.

Described as top-specification models designed and equipped for contractors and large-scale farming operations, the newcomers will come with double corrosion protection for the vacuum tanks to provide maximum resistance to aggressive liquor from anaerobic digestion plants.
This involves hot-dip galvanizing before a powder coating paint finish is applied – in either Bauer BSA blue or a colour of the buyer’s choice.
Internal baffles minimise liquid surge and a weight-management system is available that empties the rear two-thirds of the tank first to keep plenty of weight on the drawbar and the tractor’s rear wheels.
Automatic filling stop is one feature provided by the Comfort Control switchbox; but it can also be operated through the higher-spec Signo Touch colour display isobus terminal that provides steering guidance, area recording and other precision farming functions.
