Grassland UK: Claas launches smaller Cargos forage wagon

Claas has been selling its Cargos forage wagon into Europe for three years now, but the company has only just started making smaller versions that are of more appeal to UK farmers.
Capacity is a modest 30cu m and it uses a 2m-wide, five-bar pick-up to eat up the grass.

A rear steering axle is standard and 600-sized tyres come as part of the package, too.
Popular options include a central support roller for the pick-up and auto loading control.
It is also possible to remove the pick-up and rotor, which means it can be used as a standard transport trailer.
That knocks a hefty 2,250kg off the gross weight.
